Gearing Up for 2013!

Once again it’s that time of the year; the start of classes and another April conference in San Diego sponsored by the California Community College Chancellor’s Office, California Association of Administration of Justice Educators (CAAJE), and the California Fire Technology Director’s Association,

The conference will be held on Thursday and Friday, April 4-5, 2013 at the Harbor Island Hilton, in San Diego. We look forward to another great conference program highlighted by some outstanding lunch and dinner speakers. Once again, reasonable travel expenses will be covered, with meals and lodging for one night provided.

The opening lunch speaker on Thursday will be Napa College’s Greg Miraglia, the author of “Coming Out From Behind the Badge” who will address GLBT student issues as well as GLBT public safety recruitment and awareness. The dinner speaker on Thursday will be Dr. Ellen Kirschman, the author of two outstanding books, ”I Love a Cop” and “I Love a Firefighter.” The final lunch speaker on Friday will be Dr. Steve Egger, one of the leading experts in the world on serial killers who will discuss “Investigative Failures: Teaching Students to Succeed.”
