Mike Grabowski

Mike Grabowski is a professor at Santa Rosa Junior College where he is also the coordinator for SRJC’s Corrections and Children and the Justice System programs. He has completed his doctoral course work in juvenile justice, has a master’s degree in sociology/criminology and a bachelor’s degree in education. He has taught at both the university and community college levels and has been a criminal justice department chair.  

His criminal justice practitioner experience started in Houston, Texas in the area of juvenile probation and law enforcement. He achieved Master Peace Officer status and was also a law enforcement academy instructor and director. Mike also spent time as an investigator and parole officer for the Texas Department of Corrections. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and associations and has presented papers at various regional and national conferences. His research interests include juvenile justice and delinquency as well as developmental competency in police-youth encounters.
